Week 17!

This week has been an exciting one for both Alexa & I. We took our first road trip to find out the gender of Megan & Steve's baby. I am very excited for all three of them. I am sure Matthew will make a great addition to our family of girls.

I have been feel better this week. The second trimester is an amazing one. People who knew me before I was pregnant can tell that I am, but strangers would not be able to notice. I find myself holding my belly & feeling a connection with Lex.

This week, her skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — her lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. She weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop.

Justin & I decided that we will really focus on finding a nursery set & attempt the registry. We live 25 minutes from the Babies R Us, so we want to do this in one trip. Wish us luck! (We will need it)
