Second OB Appointment

After a long 2 weeks of waiting, the day of our appointment finally arrived. I spent 2 weeks researching the outcome of the first appointment and scaring myself into bad thoughts about not seeing a baby.

Once the ultrasound tech started my fears subsided. She immediately saw the growing embryo and heart beat. Justin & I both took a deep breathe. It was such a relief. We were able to watching the baby for 15 minutes. Though it doesn't quite look like a baby, you can tell it is starting to take shape. She attempted a 3D, but we could not see much. It is still really early for that, but she thought she would try.

She then measured the babies heart beat at 144BPM, which is in the healthy range.

The baby measured at 7 Weeks 5 Days, just as we thought. So the due date is September 30th. But they actually give you a week, so September 26th- October 2nd. I would prefer early instead of later, but Justin is really hoping for a 10/10/10 baby.

Our next appointment is March 17th.

First OB Appointment

Our first appointment was as most people would have expected. We filled out dozens of forms and answered a lot of background questions. The nurse took 9 vials of blood & left me bruised for 2 weeks.

We asked a lot of questions, as most first time parents due. Then we were given an ultra sound. It was very exciting to see our little yolk sack. So it wasn't quite a baby, but it did confirm the pregnancy. We were told we were less than 6 weeks along & have to come back in 2 weeks.
